1-5 - Black Rock Tricycler

Kaji Motomiya
on

After an experiment with Black Rock Shooter, I decided that she needed her own bike. So every time I went out to a store with toys, say Target or Walmart, I'd try to find a good bike for her. In the end, I decided that she'd be best riding a chopper. Why? Well, imagine her lying back, driving on the "highway" with her rocket-launcher held outward ahead of her, ready to raep anything in her way.

So I got a Harley-Davidson "2008 FLSTSB Cross Bones" 1:18 scale chopper, and I found that…it was too small. When I placed her on it, LunaTrigger's off-screen comment popped into my mind. I even openly stated that she looked like she was riding a tricycle.

There are different sizes for scale models. You may notice sometimes that motorcycles or toy car are marked with a 1:another number. For motorcycles, 1:18 and 1:12 are the more common ones. 1:18 models are for figures like the old (or new) G.I.Joe figures, and 1:12 are for action figures such as figmas, Figuarts, Revoltechs, etc. I learned the hard way that I had the wrong size…but it's because of this model that I've found myself wanting to get more motorcycles. I seem to have fallen in love with motorcycles such as Yamahas, Suzukis, Hondas, Kawasakis, etc. via research.

Also, this is the comic's first one-panel comic. I'm trying different comic styles to see which suits the best type of jokes and comic strips. I'm still learning, so I'll see where I do with this…

You may have noticed that the title doesn't have "Kaji Motomiya" on it. While The_Emperor and I are still partners, we will only work on each others' comics when a collaboration is called for, such as the third one. I felt it best that instead of trying to rush and pressure him, I let him have his own time trying to figure out his own jokes. It's the least I can do for someone who's introduced me to so many things.

Though he will not work on the comic with me as I had hoped, I'm glad to have had and to have him as a partner. Thank you for everything, Emp. Let's work hard on our respective comics to make everyone who read them laugh!

Apparently, there was a bug in the DrunkDuck system that wouldn't let me upload this last night. I'm trying to keep this in a consistent system of updates a week, ranging from 1 to 2 comics on set days. While I know I will be updating on Friday, I'm in the air about using Tuesday or Wednesday to give me sufficient time for picture-taking, Photoshopping, and script writing. Well, I'll see.
