Ugh. Those first two panels drive me batty. Early on, I had three different versions of Jetta, and I loaded an older version of her in panels one and two (I sort of fixed it in Photoshop, so you can't really tell, unless I pointed it out to you… which I just did). I'll post a full 360 view of the current Jetta with my next update (warning: boobs). Meanwhile…

"Eek! What the heck is that ugly thing in the last panel?!!"

I'm so glad you asked! That's our heroes' spaceship, the 'Tarantula.' A bit odd-looking, isn't it! Well, early on I made the decision that as much as possible I'd try to have this comic follow *real* physics, and not fake Hollywood hocus pocus physics. It's been a fun and challenging experiment, and some of the results turned out a bit bizarre.

The 'Tarantula' spins as it hurtles through space, a lot like a spiraling football, in order to simulate gravity with centripetal acceleration in a tethered habitat module. I even went to the trouble of using the SpinCalc utility to get plausible dimensions and rotation speed. Here's a real-time animation of the 'Tarantula' in motion:

Sexy stuff, huh? Okay, maybe not. Well, at least the next animation will have boobs. That should make up for what I just put you through. The fifth preview page will be going up Thursday morning. I'll see you there!
