New page! There was an update yesterday; if you blinked you missed it. I submarined the previous page because it was terrible. This page is maybe slightly less terrible, but at least by now you can probably see where Rana and Nina's inane smalltalk was heading. I wanted their interaction to sound authentic, without making it too obvious that Rana was setting a trap. That might have given the impression that the author was being overindulgent and verbose…

Again, I had to sprinkle some cryptic technobabble into the dialogue. “Biosys” is short for “biosystems administration.” It's not terribly important for you to know what “spawncode” is, though you can probably get a good idea from the context. For nerdy reasons, I wanted to call it “spawnscript,” because it sounds more like it would be considered a scripting language if anything, but that didn't sound nearly as cool. In general, for style reasons, I don't like to include little asterisks and explanation boxes on the comic page, so if there's ever anything that needs to be explained, I'll do it down here in the notes. None of that stuff needed to be explained.

This is going to be a rapid fire update week. I plan on dropping three pages, the next one coming possibly as soon as tomorrow. On the next page, things take an ugly turn…
