The Ancient Greeks were quite honest with their myth of Aphrodite: Her 'father' was Uranus's severed testicles and penis, cut off by Cronus in a macho example of godly power play. Mixing freshly severed bollocks and salty sea water produced Aphrodite who emerged from the sea on a giant sea shell. Stepping on to shore, Aphrodite used her long blonde hair to create herself a hairy one piece bathing suit to avoid arrest for indecent exposure.

The position of Goddess of Love, Beauty and Nail Manicurist being vacant, Aphrodite applied for the job and was installed on Mount Olympus. The male Greek Gods all wanted to be first to bed her but Zeus decreed that first she had to marry the pug ugly Hephaestus, god of bending metal over a hot furnace. Aphrodite expressed disgust and kept a separate bedroom where she instead entertained the gym fitter Ares, Hermes and Apollo - though she didn't say no to an older man either. Zeus tried it on with Aphrodite but suffered from premature ejaculation. A stunted child was eventually conceived but was cursed with an Olympian sized meat and two vegetables. This was later the god Priapus, god of the perpetual hard on.

Yes, that was on there, it looks like from February through early this month, so it just goes to show you always need to be scrupulous with what you read on the internet.

Putting Ozzy's bathroom together ended up taking a lot more time than I though it would, which is pretty sad considering you only get to see it for a handful of pages. I read somewhere that, because of the lower gravity, houses on the moon would probably have higher ceilings to account for people bouncing around. Add to that, it needed to look opulent yet sci-fi spacey, but also not in a sterile sort of way. This is what I ended up with. I'm happy with how it turned out, for tht, though I'm kinda upset you barely get to notice the koi pond under the floor in any of the later panels. Blame my cameraman for that; I did!

I'd normally try to post something extra and bonus-y here, like a science blurb or an animation or behind-the-scenes, but I've been really busy the last few days working on my entry for the Drunk Duck Awards Comic Jam, so nothing extra today. My Comic Jam entry should (hopefully) be finished and go up later this week, so I'll keep you updated on that next time I post.
