Sorry, no animations today. There were some posted over the weekend, if you missed it. Yes, that's right, I posted over the weekend. Why, you ask? Because it's LIGHTNING WEEK!

That's okay though, you don't need an animation today. Because you know what's a lot more fun than animations? Voting! So if you haven't already voted for your favorite comics for this year's Drunk Duck Awards, you should hurry up and go to the voting page to cast your votes. Even if you don't know a worthy comic for every category, just vote for the categories you want. And please give some consideration for this comic while you're at it. Just click on the link button below to go the voting page.

One of the more difficult technologies to explain in this comic is the “meta” technology they use to make these 360 degree virtual displays and interactive gizmos seemingly appear out of nowhere. Is it a hologram? Is there a hidden projector somewhere? Well, fortunately I no longer need to explain it… because you'll all be using it in the near future. Microsoft has finally released their new Hololens, a piece of headwear that immerses you in an interactive virtual world that meshes almost seamlessly with the world around you. They call it “mixed reality,” which is pretty much exactly what “meta” reality is in this comic's universe, though at a much higher level of development and integration. Unlike us, Jetta and Ozzy and the rest of them don't need an external device to access the metaverse; they have bionic implants, so for them meta reality and “real” reality all sort of blends together.

More updates coming soon as Lightning Week! continues, along with the continuation of Agent Six's animated adventure. So check back soon, and often. Or add this comic to your Favorites, so you don't miss any updates. And don't forget to vote! I already did. It's quick, it's painless, and you're helping the site along with giving some much deserved credit to your favorite Drunk Duck artists.

See ya!
