### 03.1 Birds of Prey, pt 1

Well damn. It's been a while since I updated this thing, hasn't it!

I was planning to wait until I'd finished this first mini chapter before I started posting again. That's my new update scheme: Do shorter chapters, and post after I finish each mini chapter. That way, I have time to look over the finished product and I can do fixes and rewrites if necessary.

HOWEVER, I forgot that the Drunk Duck Awards are coming up soon, which means I need to start posting *something* if I'm to have a snowball's chance of landing any nominations. So Christmas is coming early this year. And by Christmas, I mean a half baked chapter that's being rushed out on a deadline. It's a gift that keeps on giving!

Um, I guess I probably should say something about the chapter. Well, for those of you who were looking forward to finding out how Manu fares with his captors, or what perils await Jetta in the clutches of Kai and her insurrectionist accomplices… sorry, you're going to have to wait a while. I've more or less decided to punt on the main storylines for the remainder of 2017. The next handful of scenes will be devoted to retcons.



At the end of Chapter 1, we were introduced to a gang of menacing mooner baddies. Unfortunately, as the plot began to solidify in my brain, I came to realize I had no real use for them anymore. 'Birds of Prey' is my attempt to shoehorn them back into the comic. It works well enough as a standalone mini story, so there is no need for a chapter recap here. It does however tie back into the main story, and serves as an introduction to one of our Main Bad Guys – the enigmatic and malevolent Osprey, who was so far only briefly mentioned at the end of Chapter 1. This is a two-parter, followed by a very brief scene which reintroduces the daring Agent Six back into the mix.

I should begin uploading pages soon. I need to unload a lot of stuff over the next month. See you then!
