It's been a while since I've done any animations, and it shows here, with all of the twitchy little details I missed. When I do my still renders, there's always something I notice after the fact that I didn't get right, and it's always easy enough to fix in Photoshop. But when I screw up a 70-plus frame animation, there's just no way I'm going back and fixing it, then re-rendering the whole damn thing. So here are the results. I'm not gonna fix it, but I basically have no choice other than to post it, given how long it took to render. So enjoy. Or don't.

Oh, and I haven't forgotten about that animated re-telling of the pulp sci-fi classic '50 Girls 50' that I was working on earlier in the year, and I still plan on getting back to it. I've just been too busy trying to cram pages in before the Drunk Duck Awards hit me like a doomsday asteroid. So once that's all out of the way, I should be picking that back up.

AUTHOR'S NOTES

Not much to say about this page. It's obviously gratuitous filler, but we do at least catch a tiny glimpse of Sergei's true feelings. Of the two women in his life, he's clearly prioritized one over the other, and he seems to be more open with The Captain as well. That probably doesn't bode well for Ula down the road. And in case you're wondering why I bothered writing in a love triangle angle with this mini story: well, it does lead to something in the second part of this two -part mini story, but I don't want to give anything away at this point. You have to stick with it to the oh-so-bitter end!

That's all for now. I'll catch ya later!

***EDIT: Changed the speech balloons to metasquawks. I just made that word up now as I typed it. Yeah.
