Oy vey! Impromptu brain surgery without anesthetic. Still probably not as bad as a root canal. At least you don't have pain sensors in your brain. As I mentioned before, zombie bot does unintentionally resemble a facehugger from the Alien franchise – but it's sort of a reverse facehugger. And instead of pumping xenomorph babies into your stomach, zombie bot melts your face and drills into your skull. I'm not sure which is worse. Probably best just to avoid anything in outer space that looks perfectly evolved to grapple onto a human head.

And don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the mooner bad guys who showed up at the beginning of the chapter. After all, they're sort of the whole reason this chapter exists. We'll be getting back to them soon, and it will start to become more clear how this ship hijacking and their situation are related. Like everything I write, this two-chapter mini adventure starts out fragmented and murky but comes together in the end. It's all been intricately scripted already; the only part that could potentially change is how it ends. I have two endings written: a bad ending, and a VERY bad ending. Which one I go with may come down to what kind of mood I happen to be in on the day I sit down to do the panels. No matter what, there's a ton of carnage ahead.

And speaking of carnage, time is almost up if you plan on voting for the Drunk Duck Awards. That ballots close July 29th, which is this coming Saturday. So if you have time before then, you can show your appreciation for your favorite Drunk Duck comics by voting for them. Here's a link to the voting page:

Also, if you're interested in helping out as a volunteer, the awards staff are looking for people to judge the categories and create award presentations. So if you want to get involved, please visit the Volunteer Thread.

No bonus stuff today, unfortunately. I've been crazy busy of late, and haven't had time to do much of anything. Thank God for buffer pages!

I'll see you next week! Thanks for stopping by!
