The mooners are basically like terrorists, and I thought it'd be interesting to show them as having different motivations for the same goal. Nascha is a fanatic, while Panzer is more mercenary in his motives. The mooners, being less cybernetic than the humans, are more susceptible to diseases like this mysterious “rot” condition that Panzer is suffering from. I'm sure I'll do a worldbuilding blurb on the mooners at some point, but no time today.



I've got good news, and less-good news… Actually, I have good news, less-good news, and potentially bad news. The good news is that I finally seem to have gotten back into some sort of groove as far as making new pages to keep the page buffer (and thus the comic itself) going. The less-good news is that I've started working on my two Drunk Duck Awards presentations and judging duties, which means I'll be devoting a lot less time to creating new pages over the next couple of weeks. The potentially bad news is that the weather is going to suck here in Houston over the next week, if the weather people are correct. It will almost definitely rain a lot, and we may even catch a very weak hurricane over the weekend. I mention all that because I'm more or less incapable of doing any productive work when the weather is bad like that. So given all that I'm working on at present, and the possibility that I could lose several days' worth of productivity due to weather, my update schedule may end up slowing down for a while. We'll have to wait and see on all that, I guess.
