202 - Signs of Life

This is the first of the two unnecessary final pages I made for this chapter. It really should have ended on the previous page, with the dire implication that the mooners now have an infiltrator placed inside the Nova Dagon Docking Authority's control room. I felt like these last two pages added maybe one cliffhanger too many with their dramatic reveal that Ula may not be quite so dead after all, and… well, you'll have to wait for the next page to see what else. Though you can probably guess.

And of course, if you're new to this comic or have lost track of what's going on, Ula is a maladjusted crew member aboard the freightship Diablo, final destination: the very same Nova Dagon colony which has just come under attack by mooner extremists. She was attacked and seemingly killed by a creepy robot that stowed away on the ship… but now we see that rumors of her demise have been greatly exaggerated.

NOTES

This was pointed out before, but for any new readers who may be scratching their heads trying to make sense of the Diablo's layout, it's designed to spin in order to generate artificial gravity through centripetal force. The habitat modules extend far away from the main fuselage, connected by cables.
