209 - Anybody Home?

El Cid
on

This is that part in a scary movie where you're yelling at the clueless teenager to Don't Go In There! But of course, they always DO go in there, because otherwise you wouldn't have a good scary movie. So go ahead and yell if you want to, but he's going in.

And just by way of giving (another) quick recap, the silent woman floating in the cockpit is his crewmate Ula, whose body has been taken over by malicious forces. Avram noticed something strange going on with Ula's biofeed earlier when she was bodyjacked, but he shrugged it off at the time because she's sort of a cyber junkie and it's not that unusual for her biofeed to be out of whack. That's what Captain Savage was referring to in the first panel.

So how big is the Diablo? I have no idea. Well, okay, I have an idea, but I don't mess with exact numbers unless there's no other choice. So to give you an idea as to the scale of this freighter, here's a size comparison between the Diablo and a Boeing 777. According to Google, the 777-300 model is 73.9 meters long. So based on that, from this picture, my calculations say the Diablo is pretty darn big.

And here's an animation of a Boeing 777 flying around the Diablo. Just because it looks cool. Not that an airplane could actually fly in space. That's just silly.

That's all for today, ladies and gents. See ya laterz.
