Weekend update! I meant to post this yesterday, but got sidetracked. Yeah, this scene is a little bit on the goofy side. So, apparently the hijack software didn't take properly. It comes and it goes, and Ula's none the wiser. Does that make any real-world sense? Probably not. Is it a fun plot device to play with? Absolutely!

Fortunately for the bad guys, Avram is not the sharpest tool in the shed, so there's no risk of him catching on. But what are they up to? And why do they want to override the ship's propulsion system? It will all come together soon. Well, maybe not “soon” in regular people time, because I post so far apart, but “soon” in terms of pages.

BACKGROUND: Nascha was the leader of the celestial (“mooner”) terrorist cell which launched a deadly coordinated attack on the Nova Dagon docking facility.

Prior to her involvement in the operation, Nascha was a warrior nun who rose to a prestigious position within the security apparatus of the Kraken Synod, the foremost theological assembly for the Order of the New Dawn. A religious fanatic and brutal enforcer of doctrine, Nascha was a prime candidate for resistance operations when the Order declared holy war against the Neptune-Triton Commonwealth. Like the other New Dawn members, Nascha was under the influence of a malicious AI calling itself Osprey, which appears to be trying to incite conflict between the human and celestial factions.

In combat, Nascha's genetically enhanced body was combined with intelligent winged armor to give her the appearance of a rampaging harpy. During the docking facility attack, she used a combination of conventional weapons – including a flame thrower located in her tail – and swarms of tiny robotic drones with a flesh dissolving nanophage sting. After an initially disordered response, the Nova Dagon Docking Authority's security forces were able to regroup and engage her with lethal force.

STATUS: Deceased, not recoverable.
