This page went through some transformations during production. The original version featured more empty space to make room for dialogue. When I write these scenes, I usually try to add some light banter or intersperse plot elements in order to keep them interesting. However, I ended up deciding to play this scene straight for the most part, with less extraneous dialogue and such. However, without the dialogue, the page looked pretty bland with all that empty space in the original layout.

So, I had to render new artwork to fill all that empty space in the first panel. Overall, it's a bit of a mess, but I'm mostly happy with how it turned out.

This part of the chapter should be finishing up by the end of next week. It does tie in with the rest of what's going on, but you'll have to wait and see just how.

I've gotten back to plugging away at learning the ins and outs of the Unreal game engine, with hopes of putting together a Transneptunian interactive game. These of course are not pictures of the actual game itself; these are just generic mock-ups I'm using to function-test some things: importing a custom character, creating walk and run animations and blend transitions, basic interactions like activating automatic doors and elevators and inventory systems. All that fun stuff. The finished project will look nothing like this. And Jetta will have clothes.

I may have already mentioned this, but this comic was written as a prequel to another comic, and I don't have any concrete plans to actually do that one when this one's finished. But I thought it may be interesting to tell that story through an interactive game instead. That is ultimately what I'm trying to end up with here, though I may need to try my hand at something simpler first before diving into that.

That's all for now. I may try to sneak in another update over the weekend. 'Til then, see ya around!
