312 - Wasted Potential

This scene represents a big departure from the original script I drew up many years ago when I first started this comic. In the original version, Abby and Delilah deliver the captured Manu to Rana, who (of course) double-crosses them. Delilah is killed, and Abby narrowly escapes. Now bent on revenge, Abby uses the data she downloaded from Manu's brain to locate Jetta. Do you remember that stupid death collar thing on Jetta's neck? Well, Abby manages to convince Jetta not to kill her by using her master hacking skills to disable it, and they become uneasy allies.

Well, none of that is going to happen, because the story was getting too long. So this is the Alternate Ending version. Not that I'm going to just totally write Abby and Delilah out of the story completely, but they're headed on a very different path now.



Hopefully, it's discernible in that first panel on the bottom row that what you're looking at is an elevator shaft? One of the most annoying things about doing a 3D comic is that sometimes you have to waste a lot of time modeling things that only appear in one stinking panel!
