AUTHOR'S NOTES

* The Coriolis effect is the tendency of a moving object in a rotating reference frame to shift in respect to an object in another reference frame… it's why hurricanes rotate in different directions depending on what hemisphere they're on, due to the Earth's rotation. In spinning space habitats, it can cause a projectile to deflect ever so slightly in one direction or another, depending on what direction the habitat is spinning, and how far away from the spin axis you are.

* Ixion is a large dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt.
