Weekend Extra: THE EVOLUTION OF PATRICK

I love it when artist post some of their early character concept drawings, so I figured I�d show off some of my stuff as well. The first are the many changes Patrick went through:

Version 1
I really liked V1, and got about 15-20 pages into the comic before I decided to change him. The reason being, I didn�t want to use a premade poser character as my main character.

For non-Poser users, that means anyone using poser can buy this character.

Version 2
I love the look of V2, but after about 2 pages, I though to myself, this dude looks too much like a pretty boy. There is no way this dude would have as much woman trouble as I have planned for Patrick. Truth is V2 looks a lot like my cousin, and my cousin always had a fine lady or two on his arm.

Version 3
V3 is a digital clone of myself I created for a Poser contest. At first I did not want to use myself at the main character, but when I started thinking of him more of Patrick the character in my comic, and less like my digital clone, V3 made perfect sense. He is a completely custom made Poser character, which solved the problems V1 had. And he does not have that pretty boy/ ladies man look V2 has.

Well I hope you guys liked the first Trapped in the comic extra. Next week I�ll do either the Evolution of Butta or the Evolution of Marcus.
