Weekend Extra: The Original Good Girl

Just about every female in Trapped in a Comic has gone through lots of changes, so rather than doing them all at once, I’ve split up the discussion of each one in order of their creation.

First up is Hanna Grayson. I’m sure you’re thinking, who the heck is Hanna. Well Hanna was the original “good girl” (currently being played by Pilar) of my comic back when I had Harvey as the Womanizing Best friend of Patrick.

Version 1: Since Harvey looks like an adult version of Harry Potter, Hanna started out looking like an adult version of Ginny Weasley. But that was short lived.

Version 2: She eventually was changed from a proper English bookworm to a Punk Rocker Wiccan with a cockney accent. The problem with this version 2 is she was too dark and goth. I couldn’t see Patrick secretly being infatuated with her.

Version 3: In this version, I toned down the Goth look, and made her a little more bookwormish, to fit Patrick’s type of girl, but that presented a new problem. By this point Marcus was brought in as the Womanizing Best friend, and I thought V3 and Marcus did not looked right together. So V3 is being saved for another comic, because I still like her look.

Version 4: Even though Harvey’s part was changed, he still needed a girlfriend, so V4 was created. Originally V4 was going to be the sister of Hanna, but once V3 was replaced by Pilar, V4 took the name.
