Weekend Extra: The Evolution of Albert

I haven’t done one of these in a while, but since Albert is in a bit of the spotlight, I thought now would be a good time to break out the old Evolution of Characters.

Version 1: This was the original version of Big Albert. My original thought was to have a gangsta version of Fat Albert from Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids.

Version 2: I wanted some Ethnic diversity, so Albert went from African American to Asian. This version went through most of the opening restaurant scene before he grew a beard, put on a black suit and sunglasses and became Mr. Hardy.

Version 3: This is the version of Albert we all know and love. I honestly it’s been over two years since I started this comic, and I can’t remember why I chose this version. Oh well. Enjoy.
