um…does everyone really want me to comment on these things? I feel silly saying thanks all the time, even if I really mean it and enjoy reading positive comments.

How about I'll answer direct questions? They don't even have to be about the page!

okay here goes….

ttyler! I rarely use photo reference–directly. I should use it more, since it makes my drawing that much more informed. I do however, collect a lot of reference materials and maintain an internal fountain of imagery– I've lived in Savannah, Detroit, and currently live in Chicago…and all have amazing old buildings and rivers EVERYWHERE. I like to soak in it.

As for the multiple people who made some remarks over my "doodle" comment, on my acceptance page…I'm very sorry. Any page that I crank out in two hours lacks some serious control, and while not a true "doodle", it's a kinda half-assed page. Maybe I'll grab a gel-pen and whip up a real crappy doodle page, and astound you all with the total lack of polish.

Ah yes, and a rathskellar is german for "below-ground bar". Maybe someone could look up "Traume von…"?
