Looking back, the dialog isn't very easy to follow. All the same, it feels more real to not be able to know exactly what they're saying at every moment. When Michael asks, "Does it hurt?" he's talking about being under gravity. I mention that it's uncomfortable for the angels to take solid form a few times, but I'm still not sure how apparent it is here that that's what they're talking about.
The 'real' element is how Gabriel knows exactly what Michael is talking about without the elaboration that the audience would need. I'm still not sure how I feel about that… :/
