I hate the feel of this page. But whatever. I try to make up for it with shading. Anyhow, about my scanner:

It's been acting up for a little over a year now but in these later months it's been getting worse and not working for weeks at a time. And it was pretty obviously the wire that was acting up and not the actual scanner itself. Before I had planned on using my mowing money (it's raining a LOT down here) to purchase a new scanner, but guess what? They don't sell scanners anymore! Apparently people don't want to bother with buying scanners if they can buy a (dadada!) Printer/Scanner/Copier! Unfortunately this cuts out the cheap solo function device that was the scanner (unless they're high quality super scanners that cost more than they're worth). So I was about to turn to eBay or family for a replacement used scanner, but I just happened to be at my local dollar store where they were selling male/female usb extension cords. I wasn't sure if it was the usb end of the cord was the part that was damaged but I felt it was worth 1$ to gamble, and… it worked! My scanner if fully functional now and I'm really excited and drawing a whole lot more on the computer. I'm going to try for 2 pages a day morning and afternoon just like I used to and I'm going to be working extra to build up a stock for when I leave for MI in August for two weeks. While I'm gone I'll be using the automatic updater to upload only one page a day (or less, depending on how much bulk I can get). Please continue to comment and vote while I'm gone though. It's super encouraging to see what your thoughts are. But I'm here for now, so assume double updates from now until the 5th.
About the page: A friend of mine was around while I was drawing the largest panel of this page and while I wasn't expecting it exclaimed "THAT CAD!" I found it highly amusing and appropriate.
