Looks like he got over himself. Crap. I drew those last two panels too small. I did so much detail and you can see… none of it. Which means you can't exactly make out how goofy looking the coney man is. The point was that Lucy used his devilish charm to over power the man's will to score some free food.
The odd thing is that Lucy doesn't know what he's doing, he thinks people just like to give him stuff. I mean, you would be meant to think that he had charmed the guy on purpose, but later on Gabriel does the same thing when he goes shopping and it is then that you would have supposedly figured out that they just don't know their own angelic strength. I'll be putting all this information into a footnote when that scene rolls around. But just to clear that all up in the meantime.
