In the previous page I'd felt really good about the dialogue, because the way I had written it seemed really godawful at the time, so I was fixing the dialogue from my notes as I was typing up the words on the page and actually got the tone that I was going for when I originally wrote the notes.
This one I feel the exact opposite about. The dialogue itself seems okay, but I wish I had left myself more space to PRESENT it properly.

Gabriel is experiencing thoughts common to many rape victims: blaming oneself. To be optimistic, at least in this situation it is helping him come to terms with his sexuality.
