Self-Denial

No one is in so much denial as your classic hero. He forces everything down, and just marches out to slay that dragon because he has to. So is someone who battles monsters without any purpose but an emotional outlet really a hero? Something to think about. IF you really want to read that much into a parody comic.

Against my better wishes, Leo decided to start developing his own personality anyway. I told him flat-out that I just wanted a stupid womanizing hero character, and now it seems he doesn't want to conform to that anymore. Hence developing a sense of reluct-you know what? This really isn't that deep of a story yet, so I'll just stop right there.

In other news, I just got my shift time at work almost doubled. I'm a student assistant, so I was only getting 8 hours. 1 paycheck a month. Now it's 15 hours, which should be really helpful when I save up to transfer to Texas State in the spring. I was really excited about that. Oh, and by the end of fall you might notice a definite change in my art. I'm going to take figure drawing classes, you see. Good thing too, considering that sci-fi plot I've been working on with JT. I still dread the day I sketch the first space-ship. Anyway, schedule change for my convenience: Mondays and Fridays now. Occassionally there'll be a wednesday page too.
