069: Lost In The Woods

Hello again, dear readers! Hope you like this week's update, because it was a real pain in the ass to make. The end result, though, isn't too bad– though Walt's hair is pretty hideous, since I was trying out a new type of pen (one of the "calligraphy master" kind with the flat tip. Readers, there is a reason that these things are used only for calligraphy, and that reason is because they're absolutely useless for anything else). And in case you were wondering, the weird little yellow blotches all over everything are supposed to be dappled pools of sunlight shining through the trees. (I think I might have been a little bit over-ambitious with the effect…) Still, if it isn't logistically perfect, at least I got to experiment.

In Inter Nets-related news: I'll be starting a sort-of-regular column on the new Delirium group blog over on NightGig. In it I plan to– what else?– review music. Check it out sometime. (I'm really sort of getting into the NightGig scene nowadays. There are some good artists on the site, and it has a webcomics podcast that's been going for one year– longer than any other I've heard of. I'm not saying it's going to happen right now, but with a bit more streamlining and a couple more big-money webcomics, NightGig could soon become the next Dayfree Press.)

In real life news: Next Monday I start school. Sort of. Because I landed that work study job, I only have to go to two classes on A days and one class on B days. One class! Can you believe it?!? …Of course, my parents expect me to get top marks in every class this year to compensate, but still! I'll have more free time (hopefully, if the job doesn't eat up too much) to get more stuff done for TEO! Plus I'll be getting paid! I'm so excited, I don't even care that I'm massively overusing the exclamation point!

Also, the T-shirts still aren't ready yet. SO FREAKIN' WAIT.

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
