…let us have a moment of silence as we pour out a measure of Cristal for all those lost five years ago. This one's for you, guys.

…Moving on, this week we get to see where Thirteen lives. (Don't ask me where he got the Quonset hut. In Dexy's universe, the Aztecs figured how to make things out of metal, okayyy?? Including aluminum.) Also, we get a hint– sort of– at the sort of universe Lloyd has landed in. (Note to readers, I'm not sure if I've made this clear: The Flaming Croutons have all arrived at the exact same place at the exact same time… only in different universes. Again, roll with me here.) This page isn't visually impressive, but I rather like the new rhythm that the story is picking up.

In other news, YOU CAN BUY T-SHIRTS NOW!!!!! That's right, own your very own Flaming Croutons band T-shirt! Comes in black, so you know it's authentic! For formal occasions or just loafin' around at home! Be the envy of all your hipster friends by advertising a band so obscure that it doesn't even exist yet! Order now! (You know you want one. Admit it.)

And in other other news, my energetic and internationally stylish sister was goalkeeping in a soccer game last Saturday when, on a corner kick, the ball was hit by a freak bolt of lightning and immediately came to life, latching its gaping jaws onto my sister's bare forearm and refusing to let go until the splinter of bone was heard across the field. (Luckily she was able to subdue the killer spheroid with one of her cleats. She's awesome like that.) Unfortunately, this left her with a broken arm, which is especially bad since she (as a freshman, mind you) was slated to be one of Generic Park High School's JV Team goalies. This is insanely unfair. Visit her Deviant Art page and throw her some props.

That's it for this week. Coming up next: Lloyd battles not one, but TWO small boys! Don't miss it!

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
