Hello again, TEO fans! I finished this week's page earlier than I thought I would have, which I suppose is good. The hardest panels to do were the two at the top. Right now, nine is still about the biggest crowd I can seem to draw neatly. (On the other hand, I like the look of some of them so much that I actually want to write more about them, instead of having them serve as random background fodder. Look for them… in the future!)

In non-comic-related news, I've actually been on sort of a DVD binge lately, after coming across a bunch of gift cards left over from Christmas. I got Shaun of the Dead, Dr. Strangelove, Tron, and Home Movies Season Three at my local Suncoast, as part of their after-Christmas sale, and I got The Venture Brothers Season One at my local Target. All rock hard (especially the Venture Brothers set– it's one of the finest and funniest animated TV shows of our age, and well worth checking out), but the big question now is: When am I ever gonna actually watch all this stuff? …I also hit comic book paydirt whilst rummaging through a bargain bin at a local thrift store: first editions of the first eight trade paperbacks of Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima's Lone Wolf and Cub, with covers and intros by Frank Miller, all for $20.00. I'm not into manga myself, but what with such a legendary series as this, I had to spring at the opportunity. …However, I did take them out of their hermetically sealed plastic bag things once I got them home. Is that bad? Will I be slapping my forehead over this in the future? If there's anyone out there who does the appraising thing like the guys on Antiques Roadshow, but with comics, let me know.

Also, I wrote a song that basically follows the plot of Macbeth and played it for my English class. They dug it. Seriously. I'm making a recording now; I'll post it somewhere as soon as I'm finished.

By the by, have you started work on your entry for the TEO Two Years And (almost) One Hundred Pages Super Xtreme Guest Comic Partyganzabration And Chili Cook-Off? Well, get on 'em already. You've got a month left, but I know how pressed for time you creative types usually are.

In conclusion: Adventure Time. I wish it were Adventure Time every single minute of every single day forever.

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
