097: Deeper Secrets

Hey there, TEO fans! Unlike most pages, this page was actually pretty easy to color–I got it done in record time. Plus the weather today was in the high seventies, so right now I have the windows open, feeling the warm breeze blow through our neighborhood and listening to the tentative distant chirps of the first spring peepers of the season. (Of course, tomorrow it's supposed to drop back down to the low sixties, but that isn't about to ruin my good mood today.)

I also got a bunch of CDs at Record and Tape Traders: My diagnosis of each, in one word or less, is as follows:

Modest Mouse's We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank: Meticulous.
Beck's Midnite Vultures (used): Sexxxalicious.
Elf Power's Back To The Web (returned by me after one listen): Sucky.
They Might Be Giants' John Henry: Unexpected.
"Weird" Al Yankovic's Bad Hair Day: Timeless.

So… I'm sort of climbing out of that deep funk I had last week. That's good. Plus I also got a fly new Creative Zen Vision:M MP3 player that I can't wait to finish loading all of my records onto. My old MP3 player ("The Brick") is on its last legs, so it was imperative that I buy a new one. And this new one is nice. Seriously.

In conclusion… would you care to dance?

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
