099: All Tied Up

Hey, TEO fans! I had a bit of a time trying to fit everything I wanted into this page, but I managed to cram the majority of it in there. And it gets the story across. As for why Eleriel (or whatever his name is) has a cell phone, or why he didn't just kill Walt and Al straight up for their treasonous activities, or why the elves wanted to demolish Boroughdale so badly… I'm getting to it. Until then, you'll just have to trust me. This will all make sense in the end, okayyy?

In personal news, my Spring Break was nice, if not that exciting. I slept a lot. Started reading The Illuminatus! Trilogy. My sister sold bratwurst at an Orioles game (don't ask). Bought Peter Bjorn and John's recent album Writer's Block; good stuff. If I were to describe this Spring Break in two words or less, however, I would describe it as "too short". For that is what it was.

This upcoming week is gonna be far more exciting, however. On Thursday I'm going up to the Johns Hopkins Film Festival with my friend Mags to see Matt Barney's artsy flick Drawing Restraint 9 (an opportunity that probably won't come around again for a looong while). And then, on Friday, our Art class is taking a day-long field trip up to New York City to check out the Met and the Guggenheim. (I'm especially looking forward to eating lunch at the Met. They have the most wonderful reuben sandwiches there– uncharacteristically good for museum food.) So… it's gonna be crazy high-class fun this week. I can't wait.

OH! Also, remember that Comic Remix thing that I participated in around Christmas? I signed up for it again. My remix of "Children At Play", as well as the remix of TEO done by… well, I don't really know who yet, should go up here soon. Check it out.

In conclusion… Remember Christian, that sculptor cousin of mine who's living in Estonia right now? Somehow he got a gig acting in a beer commercial over there. No lie. He's the one on the right, in the blue swim togs and snorkel.

This is absolutely true and for real. I am not fooling here. He hasn't told any of us how he actually got the job, though– I guess he's leaving that a mystery until he comes back and sees us or something…

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
