108: Sinister Goings-On

Hey, guys!

I had to do this one early (or rather on time, if you're still clinging to the laughable belief that TEO's weekly Monday deadline still holds power) because, for almost the entire duration of both Monday and Tuesday, I'll be at the SCAD Summer Swarm, a sort of early orientation/social mixer for those who will be freshmen at the Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall. So, for those reading TEO for the first time, welcome, and congrats on taking the time out of your busy schedules to read one of the most little-known and confusing webcomics out there! (You can try to read our synopsis to get a gist of what's going on, but I don't really recommend it. It's easier to just go back to the beginning and read the whole dang thing, which is short enough to be read in maybe one or two quiet evenings.) As for the rest of my fan base, keep reading, and wish me luck at trying to stay witty and charming for two full days. Read a full account of it that'll (hopefully!) go up later in the week at ianjay.livejournal.com.

In other news… we're staying in this neat beach house down on Tybee Island right now. It's painted in a rather garish shade of purple, but inside it's actually very comfortable. Plus it has free wireless access, which I cannot be thankful enough for. The weather is hot. Also humid. The beach was nice, though. I kind of forgot my toiletries case, so I had to walk around the island at midnight last night to look for an open convenience store (and got verbally accosted by some random drunk guy). All in all, though, it's been a pretty neat trip so far.

Also, in case you haven't seen it yet, check out my entry for that contest I was talking about last week.

In conclusion, here's a guy playing the hurdy-gurdy. I like the sound of this instrument a lot, but I don't think I have a snowball's chance in hell of ever learning to play it.

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
