109: Mystery Threat

I don't usually badmouth my own pages anymore, but I'll be the first to admit that this week's page is definitely sub-par. The shading is shoddy, the linework is awful (See those things? Yeah, those weird line things the characters are hiding behind? Those were supposed to be bleachers), and even the color dodging looks bad. Why did this happen, you ask? Well, this weekend sort of held a lot of distractions for me, and I ended up rushing this page from start to finish. It really lessens the emotional impact of a plot twist when the art on the page looks like something shat out onto the polar ice by a sick and feeble walrus. Sorry, everyone.

I do rather like the dialogue in this one, though.

In other news… I'm really tired, so my life has been blah blah blah, emotional stress, blah blah, constant hovering anxiety, blah blah blah blah, trip to IKEA, blah blah blah. You know, the usual. I'm tired; I don't feel like recounting everything.

Oh! On a positive note, however, I did end up getting into that Endzone contest thing! I doubt I'll win, seeing as my character is but a poor wretched orphan boy, but hey, who knows? At the very least I'll get to mix things up. Check back on the Fifteenth to see the results of Round 1.

Also, if you haven't already, check out that article about my SCAD orientation trip that I finally finished writing. It gets kinda concise at the end, but is otherwise a-okay.

In conclusion… KC & Taylor's "How To Scream". Again, you've probably seen this already, but it is too good a video not to stick up on here.

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
