122: Perforations

Hey, guys! This page I think turned out rather cool. I was a little apprehensive at first as to how Lloyd's appendages would come out, but I think they look magnificently shocking. Or shockingly magnificent. Same diff.

So how have you guys been? I've been okay, mostly. It snowed today. I forgot how beautiful a fresh, thick snowfall looks, erasing the muddled browns and yellows of autumn to leave a stark, clear palette of whites and greys. On top of it all, the snow (I'm guessing) absorbs outside ambient sound, so everything seems quieter somehow, and the sounds you can hear are magnified by contrast. Everyone I've asked seems to choose summer as their favorite season, and I can clearly see why, but winter has its own charms too.

What else? Not much. I'll be headed up to the Little Poland quarter of New York City on Saturday with my dad and his girlfriend, as well as my sister and one of her friends. Should prove entertaining. Until then, it's business as usual here.

In conclusion, here's the music video for the (relatively) new single "Tais Toi Mon Coeur", from the French band Dionysos. I'd never heard of these guys before seeing this clip, but between the quirky uke-and-beatbox-driven music and the equally quirky Burton-esque stop-motion look of the video, I may have to find out more. Now if I could only figure out what the hell these guys are saying. Something involving the heart, I think. (It'd be just my luck if the lyrics turn out to be the sappiest high school poetry class material ever, and I'll look like a cultural idiot. But damn, that shit is catchy!)

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
