124: Burying The Hatchet

Hey, folks! Tired, so I'll make this quick. This page was difficult to get out, and I very nearly had a complete nervous breakdown in the middle of drawing it, due to it including all three of the things I personally find the most difficult to draw (people fighting, people running, and large crowds). But I think I pulled it off fairly well. I especially like the first and second panels.

Not much going on this week. Christmas is coming up, and I spent a couple of evenings at our local shopping mall with my sister in an effort to round up gifts for everybody. People these days get rather hyped up over shopping, don't they? And the mall we were visiting, which I hadn't been to since before I left for college, apparently just up and added an entire new wing, full of all these fancy new boutique stores. It looks nice, sure, but it's harder to navigate, and personally I'd rather they'd have just put in a Walgreen's and a decently-priced record store (two things said mall is in dire need of) rather than thirty new stores devoted to designer jeans, fancy soaps, and ridiculously overpriced sunglasses. On the plus side: Sbarro's. Still reliably good.

Y'know, it's been only like five weeks, but I miss college life more than I ever imagined I would.

In conclusion, Swedish band Hurra Torpedo performs Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart". I can't say much for the guy playing the stove top, but the guy on freezer sure can lay down the beat.

Happy holidays, everyone! Drive safely. And stay warm. Wear a… scarf or something.

Sincerely,

Ian Jay
