Old ways
rovingjack onI really don't like the main panel on this one. It shows a bit too much of the detail freak that I'm trying to avoid. The inset is one of my favorites for the character Lares.
Again we are laying ground work for mythilogical meanings and such with the words of this panel. I don't imagine I'd be spoiling much by letting you know that 'the old ways' refers to a way of behaving that is sort of missing in our modern world.
Where travelers could find rest in a farmers house, and where the rules of hospitality where near to law for the people.
So this moment where The Main character offers aid and help traveling to a person unknown but stranded shows both that the main character is raised in that way, and that it is something rare in the world as far as Lares knows.
It also mentions 'this world'… is there another world or is this a figure of speach?
