Page 12 - Preperations

Well, we finally learn something fairly concrete about Tai-ra's character. She's not nearly so easy-going as Jaith is. Her loyalty is probably her biggest character trait and is also likely her greatest flaw. I hesitate to say it "blinds" her, because she's still well-aware of things that are happening, and that her master's changing. She sees and understands, but chooses to do nothing really. Sort of an "if he wants to change, that's his business" sort of attitude. Also, however, despite how quiet she's been to this point, she is not someone you would want to cross. It takes a LOT to motivate her to that point, but it would be unwise to push her to it. And now I suppose my comment on the last page that she's far more like Ser-den makes more sense ^_^
However, I should probably point out that she doesn't intend this as a threat. She's simply saying "this is a line I'd rather you didn't cross". She tends to lean towards avoiding conflicts when she can.

Art-wise, I'm rather unhappy with Tren in the first two panels, but everything else came out fine. The last panel is empty somewhat by intention. I meant it to be mostly empty, but was going to put some lines around the edges, but I wanted to to seem somewhat like another place there. I thought I'd put the lines in, but didn't notice until half the text was in place that I'd apparently forgotten them. Since I wanted it empty anyway, it didn't seem worth it to go back, it's just a bit MORE empty than I'd intended…
