I'd actually never heard the term "jument" before doing TM. Maybe I'm portraying my ignorance in saying that, but it was a completely alien word to me, which is why I decided to use it. I came across it when I was trying to find a word that I could use as a derragatory term for the boetheri. Slang is universal after all. "Jument" basically means "beast of burden". I thought it was fitting enough, it's how the humans view them, and since I hadn't heard it often (at all that I can remember, but who can be sure?) it seemed obscure enough to make good slang. You may hear people calling boetheri that from time to time…not generally nobles though…

I'm really REALLY happy with panel 2. both their expressions came out wonderfully, and Nareth really looks threatening! (I tried to draw him to look bigger even though he was the same size, and I think I actually managed it!)

Ahh….I wish you guys could see the actual inks instead of scanned ones. They look niiiiiice! I think I might be starting to get the hang of this "inking" thang. Also also, I uploaded the sketch versionof this page because I like sketches and I'm a nerd like this. (well, I liked the drawing, and I ink right over the drawings for TM, so scanning it was the only way to record it in case the inking was messed up…which sometimes happens)
