I had a really hard time with Bradley's expression in the final panel. I almost gave him a little smile - in fact I inked it that way - but I didn't like the way it looked. I went back and forth on that about 10 times. I still don't particularly like it - it doesn't quite convey the mood I want - but it's better.
I didn't want a smile, because Bradley's not really gaining anything here. He wasn't expecting that he'd get to "show Ralla the Light" because even if he DID translate the book for her, it's doubtful that she'd catch on to what he was trying to convey. So really, this was just a little nudge to show Nareth that he wasn't giving up just yet. He's still around and still going to do what he can.
I put the smile because I imagine he's somewhat amused at Nareth's reaction. I removed it because he really didn't gain anything except to tick off Nareth…which might not be too beneficial at this point.

I also thought a lot about Bradley's handwriting. He's a noble, so somehow you'd expect him to write in script…but he also very practical, and I felt his writing would be more utilitarian than pretty. Words are written to be read, not admired for their penmanship. So I settled with a very simple, straightforward writing style…Although it's basically just a neater version of my own writing ^_^; Which was also part of it. I didn't want to use a font…they don't look hand-written.

…yes, I thought that much about his handwriting…^_^;

Also, you may notice the new header image. Well…I'm not COMPLETELY fond of it myself, but this was about the tenth design I'd tried, and it was the best one, so I was like "whatever, it gets posted."
…but I finally get to implement some of the boetheri language :)
Eventually, I think I'll include a glossary of the boetheri language…but not until I have a few more words than this (In the comic, I already have a glossary for my own use on my computer).
But it basically translates to "The truth is not always what you can see"…but that's not a direct translation, so don't try to go word to word on it. XD
