Sort of setting the stage here. I have little to say on it plot-wise, it sort of speaks for itself.

Art-wise, the black background was a conscious decision, not just an excuse to not draw a background. (Although I will admit a moment of "sweet! I won't have to draw a background!" after I thought of it.) The point being that this is Tai-ra's memory, so it's not very clear or concrete, especially here (she's supposed to be about four…and to my amazement, I think she almost looks it. I can't draw kids. She looked better in pencil though.) So it's really just the bits that stand out and she remembers - plus I REALLY wanted to do it with no panel borders. As it progresses through time, the background will fill in more, and there will be a couple of points that will necessitate using panels, but I'd like to avoid it as long as I can…it really separates the present from the past pretty well. Also, those are awfully big hands, yes? Again, intentional. It's how SHE remembers it…though in retrospect I prolly should've made them a bit bigger for the full effect…oh well.

This page was heavily photoshopped to fix some mistakes! You almost can't tell! I'm fairly proud of me!

…I should prolly get around to adding people to my friends list one of these days… (I have everybody who added me saved, I just haven't done it for some reason…)
