There's something you have to be careful about when you're a villain trying to control people, you always have to leave them something. Some concession, some way out, some way to vent their frustration at you. Because if you put them in a situation where they have "nothing to lose" you have no one to blame but yourself when they risk it. Our villain hasn't managed to stomp out every bit of hope for the hero, but it's not for lack of trying, and the further he pushes, the more extreme Tren pushes back. All it takes is for the villain to make his way worse than the alternative, and he's lost it all.
At any rate, I've said it before and I'll say it again, Tren may lack common sense, but he can reason things out fairly well when he needs to. Which is fun to write. XD

The art seems a little lacking on this page, but it does the job.
