I think most people would like to think that they wouldn't abuse power if they had it, but I also think that most people would find the temptation to make use of said power too great. One of my goals with my main character here (whether "Tren" or "Nareth") is to portray him less as a "good guy" or a "bad guy" but instead as a pretty average guy. He screws up, he makes mistakes, and in this instance, he thinks being able to have some measure of control over someone else (particularly someone he doesn't like) is kind of awesome.
…just be careful not to get carried away, there Tren, this could stray into "bad guy" territory pretty easily.

In other news, I was pretty set back this week, because I decided to redraw this page after I drew it. To show you why, I uploaded the original drawing here. Note how static and unemotional the characters are. It's a pretty charged scene, but the drawing was so boring. I scrapped it before even getting to the background. (I draw that last so I can gauge what would be there based on where the characters are). But sometimes I like to point out my failures. The actual page I like much better. The shading came out especially nice, I think.
