The falcon symbolizes different things depending on whether it's fettered or unfettered. I decided to leave it ambiguous by having the chain hanging. And yes, I know no actual falconer would use a chain, they'd probably use a leather strap, it just seemed to fit symbolically a bit better (It's not like Ralla's actually a falconer anyway). This was entirely too problematic to color…

I terms of this coming bit of the story, you should got check out that flash animation announcement that I made a while ago for FFC, because it pretty well describes this part of the story. It was an early idea that became too entrenched in the story to get rid of, and I'm not entirely sure I like it any more, but we're going to do it anyway. Here's the difference, though, I learned my lesson with that FFC story arc, I'm not going to go into it half-assed just to get it done. I think the FFC story could have been much better had I tried, so that's what I'll do here. It may still be somewhat lame, it may not come out well, but I promise you, I'll make it the best that I can! It'll cover the next two chapters and hopefully it'll read okay. You've been warned, but I'll do my best!
