For anyone who's wondering, despite their sharp teeth, boetheri are omnivores like humans. They tend towards primarily meat diets, but can eat a variety of different foods. So yeah, that is some kind of bread-thing he's giving him and it's fine.

Sorry if you were hoping to jump right into action in this chapter (and believe me, I would LOVE to do so) but we had to get some stuff out of the way first. Can't very well let Tren go all crazy and then just POOF! he's better…though I sort of DID do that with Bradley and Ser-den thanks to all the cuts I made - I'm sorry!
