Hey everyone. The following is a bit personal, a bit introspective.. I hope you don't mind.

I drew this page while I was at a meeting.
In the meeting, I signed a resignation form to quit the company that I "work for" because I haven't been paid for two months. The company is bankrupt, but not legally. Don't ask me how that works.. it means I can't get unemployment benefits yet, even though I haven't been working or getting paid.

I then signed a form to work for a new company that is hoping to start up soon. Many, many people are skeptical for signing up for a company without even a contract or anything.. But I say this - it's better than nothing. Really, when you're starving to death and someone gives you a burger, you don't argue about the amount of ketchup.

I also wrote the company a little note explaining how the rent on my building hasn't been paid in a few months and the landlord is getting edgy and if there's anything they can do to help…

And so this page, involving a business deal, made me reflect on my own life… Issen denying EG.. Issen would rather have his dignity in a burnt-down forest, than have money and comfort under EG.

There was this horrible program called "Lesons for Food," where people like me teach for food and small bits of money from kind students. I went to a Union meeting and we voted to disassociate ourselves from the program.
Why?
It's kind of like Issen.. We want our dignity.
I have a college degree, I have job experience. I want security, benefits, insurance… I deserve more than just something to eat. I'm a human being.

Is that the same as arguing about ketchup? Maybe I'm being hypocritical.

And then to be even more hypocritical, I realize I still have student loans to pay, and I'm not sure if I can afford those with no income right now. So I was gonna ask you guys if anyone wanted to commission me for anything…
