Some family spent the night at my house last night.. Kids are fun! They gave me a cookie with Grover on it, and made me breakfast in the morning. Aww.. One of the kids tried speaking to me in English, it was cute.

Respondy:

Cthonic Cultist - Yup!! Whee, I wish someone would pay me for something I'm already doing.

Tantz Aerine - My student like.. seems perfectly normal, but she speaks very robotically and precicely. Some students are just like that and eventually lose that habit, but she just can't kick it and I wonder if she sees English as this sort of mathematical formula rather than communication.

Anyway, she does fine in group lessons, but in one on one lessons she often mentions how she thinks this person or that person is out to get her. Or kill her. She got a teacher in trouble once, saying he was out to get her and tried to touch her in a lesson when really he did nothing of the sort. She claims she went to England and the terrorists followed her the whole way and blew up the airport the day before she was going to leave. She also claims that someone shot her, but God stopped the bullet from entering her body. She told me her father lived in Scotland and travelled around Europe before he died. She has never met him, and only recently learned about his escapades from a letter sent to her in the mail by her grandfather. Who lives in Scotland too. Whom she went to visit, and brought back souvenires that were clearly bought at the local train station here in town.

She booked a lesson with me once just to tell me how difficult my lessons are, and how all us teachers are against her, and she's taking things into her own hands now and trying to test into the next level on her own. She failed the test.

Wow that was a long answer.

PeiPei - It does. YAY MONEY!!

dogbunny - Yeah it's pretty much the coolest graveyard I've seen either.

DAJB - Sorry.. well at least there was the shot of me hugging a tree.
Haha your comments always crack me up.

EJB - Pay me too!

Zephyrion - Indeed!

theorah - Yeah in humid climates, graves are at the mercy of the forest. The trees are cedars.. they can grow to be damn big. Redwoods, however, are bigger. Personally, though, I like deciduous trees better.

alejkhan - Heh I'm not sure if it was comedy or not… Yeah probably that's as close as it's gonna get.

qswtbt - How did the interview go?

Darwin - I hope so!
