HAPPY NATIONAL DNA DAY!

This is Tantz Aerine's winning entry to my DNA Day contest!!

This year is the first time it's been so hard to pick a winner. I recieved a bunch of entries at the last second that came to me by various means… Some people ignoring their final exams just to get it done, one person had no way to get me the picture and ended up having to take a cell phone shot… I want to reward everyone's efforts!

The artwork was so creative, funny, intriguing..

In the end, I decided I'd better make some very strict rules for myself if I wanted to judge fairly. So I based it on creativity being like 50% of the decision, then relevance to DNA, then the relevance to my comic, and finally the quality of the art. I really like the emotion and fluidity in this one, and how the DNA was really incorporated into the art, so I picked Tantz's piece.

Anyway, thanks everyone for sending art!! It's sooo appreciated, I feel sorta undeserving of all this. Everyone go take a look at the other entries, okay? There's some kick ass ideas.

Anyway..
SO TODAY IS NATIONAL DNA DAY! I've had a place in my heart for genetics since I was in middle school (if you can't already tell by my comic!!!), and to celebrate I've made this website for everyone:
