Hey guys!
So I haven't updated for over half a year… I'm not gonna make any excuses about that. Lack of motivation or something like that.

More importantly, the country where I live is experiencing the worst natural disaster in its history. The damage here is devastating, as I'm sure you've all heard about. Luckily, I happen to live Kobe, which is pretty far away from where all of that happened. We got some small after-shock quakes set off by the big one, but it didn't do much more than swing the doors of my building back and forth and I think a poster or something fell off the wall.. that's it.

By some miracle, none of my friends were in any of the danger zones. My friend who lives closest to the nuclear power reactors has decided to fly back to Canada for a while. I think the nuclear power thing is kinda being blown way out of proportion. The Japanese news is saying, "Everything is fine, there is no problem at all!" And the foreign media is saying, "Japan is radioactive and unfit to live on!" If you read the facts, it's somewhere in the middle. Not everything is fine, but it probably won't turn into the worst case scenario, and the amount of radioactive particles being released isn't going to cause the widespread effect that anti-nuclear power activists are saying on TV. So I'm not pannicking, I'm just checking the news a lot and feeling so damn lucking for by whatever hand of fate NOT living in an area where tsunamis can reach to.

Seriously, tsunamis are the scariest thing ever. Whenever I see footage of this stuff on TV, it makes me just freeze up. And one scary thing is that there wasn't anything more that could have been done to prevent this. Like Japanese buildings are all pretty much up to earthquake codes, even that nuclear reactor had so many back up plans in case of disaster.. But nature's ferocity is just THAT much more powerful than the fragile things we create around us.
