Best Comic Ever!

Frogman

Didn't I tell you last week it was going to be the best comic ever? See, I wouldn't lie to you.

Not long after taking these photos, I ripped those pants in the buttocks region by sitting on the couch. Obviously those pants were no match for my buns of steel. It also goes to show that 100 pages is about right for a change of clothes...

Is it sad that I can only win awards when I write and draw me doing so into a comic? I don't think so! This is my middle finger to the world of awards and competition winning.

I like how Scarlett Johansson came out in panel 3. Jack Nicholson in panel 4 isn't too bad, though behind him is a terrible Megan Fox and Brangelina. It's hard drawing people small, ok?

Aaaaaand, just thought I'd add that Dance, Dance Spider-Man Revolution was inspired by that awful musical number in Spider-Man 3, but turned into a combination of Dance, Dance Revolution and Spider-Man will make you gay.

Addressing Holy Sock's question from last week: why am I ending the comic? Well, there are a few reasons. Feel free to pick your favourite!

* It's getting harder to produce them on schedule whilst juggling work. Writing handouts, mid-year reports and marking assignments sucks! I don't know why anyone would want to go into teaching. I'm over it.
* There's no financial benefit. The small profit I make from book sales is nothing to retire on. I'm lucky to have anything left after the bank takes their 'currency conversion' fee. And speaking of the book… it's now had the 30% markup removed on Amazon so if you'd prefer to order it through there instead of Lulu, you'll be paying the Lulu price. (Please buy it, only you can prevent panel 5 of last week's comic.).
* I've got a heap of other things I want to work on as well, which I can't find the time to do if I'm working on Ultimate X. Frogman is a good example of this. Last update October 12th, 2008? Hello! Not good enough!
* Rob, Irene, Dez, Brooks, Ryne and I used to have weekly meetings where they'd help me come up with stories and panel layouts, etc. Gradually people started moving on with their lives and had no time to help me. This is fair enough, but I'd like to have a bit of a life too.
* Nothing lasts forever… in the cold November rain. (This includes webcomics).

Next week: A very special guest star! Oooh, who could it be?

*Ulp* Three more to go…

Oh, and I'm working on the second volume of the book as well.
