advice taking three : layout changes

ok, i had to make this layout example without backgrounds, sound, or movement so i could concentrate more on the layout.

the first thing i need to do with the layout:
figure out if i should continue on horizontal a bit before moving onto the next row, or do two panels per row.

also, fire emblem sprite by bonzai
