My friend gave me some money to help with continuing What Errant Beast, so I drew "Asterix and a critter" for her! The whole "yak, yak, yak, yak" thing came to me as I woke up this morning and I smiled a little bit… but they don't have yaks in Europe, so I changed the punchline. Aurochs are extinct (since the early/mid 1600s), so that puts it at the probably cattle for a little viking to have.
