I actually took the picture in the second panel twice, once with the color on my phone camera shifted toward red and once shifted toward blue. This allowed me to make the clouds the right color while keeping the look of the town consistent. I then combined the two photos in Photoshop. I like achieving stuff like this mostly in-camera because I think it adds more realism to the images.
